Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC)

Objectives

  • To provide an opportunity for the students to freely express their grievance, with utmost anonymity.


  • To set up a mechanism for speedy and expeditious resolution of the grievance.


  • To provide an appropriate counseling to the students in the process of resolving the grievance.


  • To promote cordial relationship amongst the students.

An aggrieved student can submit the application seeking redressal of grievance to the Committee

a. the online portal provided on the website of the college or;

b. by email at grievance@mshcsw.in

c. by dropping the compliant at the grievance box.

d. Scanning the QR code pasted in various location of the institution

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To accept written grievances from students related to academic, infrastructure and any other functioning of the institution


  • To listen, record and scrutinize the grievances submitted to them and submit the same to the Principal for taking necessary actions.


  • To convene periodical meetings to discuss whether the grievances have been settled.


  • To make a follow-up of these matters at regular intervals till their final disposal.


  • To maintain strict confidentiality, if necessary.


  • Perform such other functions as may be assigned by the management authorities and Principal of the college form time to time.

Constitution of the committee

  • A complaint from the aggrieved student relating to the institution shall be addressed to the chairperson of the SGRC.


  • The committee has been constituted with the following composition as recommended by UGC


  • a. A senior professor has been nominated as Chairperson of the committee

    b. Four senior faculty members of the institution as members

    c. A representative from among the students

  • The term for the chairperson and members is 2 years i.e. academic years 2024-2025 & 2025-2026


  • The quorum for the meeting including the chairperson, but excluding the special invitee, shall be three.


  • The SGRC always follow the principle of natural justice.


  • The SGRC send its report with the recommendations, if any to the Principal with a copy thereof to the aggrieved student within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the complaint
