The college has a fleet of 30 buses, to transport students and staff, from various parts of the city and its neighborhood areas to the college and back home. Transport facility will be arranged to every student. Every student is expected to avail the transport facility to enable him/her to be punctual to come to the college.
Besides the regular scheduled trips, the facility is extended for occasions like after the college hour Special Coaching classes, Placements and Training, Visit to Local Industries, hospitals, NSS Camps, etc.
To coordinate various bus routes regularly with the assistance of route-in-charges.
To supervise and manage the daily transport operations and provide required instructions to the route-in-charges.
To inspect the condition of the buses and report for necessary action on a continuous basis.
Provide transportation service to students, teachers after proper assessment of the requisition and to ensure optimum use of transportation facility. All the services must be kept in excellent running condition and cleanliness must be ensured. A mechanism for the check-up of the vehicles at regular and frequent intervals had been made. Any breakdown of a bus enroot to college or return, drivers should immediately inform the Office Superintendent. In the event of such occurrences, the students travelling in such vehicle must be adjusted by other transport means.
Ensure that the drivers should stick to the route allotted to them do not deviate. However, in exigencies, they can seek approval of Office Superintendent duly informing him the situation faced by them. Drivers should cooperate with Office Superintendent whenever he asked for and they should present all the requisite permissions / approvals / licenses, etc. Ensure that the drivers conduct with students is in a decent and in pleasing manner. Office Superintendent should ensure that all buses are having proper permissions / approvals / insurance. Expiry of any of the requisite must be informed to Office Superintendent at least one week ahead of the lapse. Maintain the records, Log Note, attendance and submit the same to the Principal.
The Transport Committee has frequent meetings with Principal, Office Superintendent and Transport Officer. In the meeting they have discussed about the queries given by the students about the transport.
